About MeThe Singularity known as M.A. Hughes:
THE SHORT ‘N SWEET VERSION: Keeper of three goblins that look remarkably like children. Food safety superhero. Dreamer of nerdy delights. Misanthrope extraordinaire. Wants to be a space cowboy when she grows up. THE (SLIGHTLY) LONGER VERSION: Maria’s childhood was filled with taxing responsibilities that included slaying imaginary vampires (to save an equally imaginary twin sister), ruling over a forest-dwelling civilization, plumbing the depths of ancient burial sites, and struggling to be admitted into The Bard’s Academy—to name a few. While she has a hankering for epic battles, ancient cultures, stories, and a spirit for adventure, sadly none of these promised an affordable income (according to her parents). Years later, Maria is still a jack of all trades. She wears the hats of a Quality Improvement Specialist, auditor, and trainer for a dry food seasoning manufacturer in the Midwest. Additionally, she is a certifiable food safety superhero (Masters in Food Safety @ MSU), a book reviewer for Netgalley and US Review, amateur photographer, writer, video gamer, wife, and mother. When she’s not busy being a food safety superhero or controlling three goblins (that look remarkably like children), she explores the uncharted terrains of her imagination.
