Shantanu

When you perceive a truly brilliant work of art, it transfixes you, makes you forget for those initial moments the joy or misery that exists in your life and drowns you with this feeling of ecstasy on beholding an object of such beauty. I beleive that to the artist this is the greatest gift the he may receive . To know that he is able to create something that has the power to infuse even in the life of the battle weary injury stricken famished soldier some moments of pure joy when he forgets himself and his surroundings.
I write because I derive a joy from creating and also as poetry is the closest I can get to the art that I described above.
