My name is Sandra Ferrara Gentry. I am a writer, artist and no longer a stay at home mom. I went back to work in the restaurant business. I'm 44, a mother of 3 daughters, Samantha 23 , Kayla 19 and Kelly 16. I, was born in Newark, New Jersey and lived in Iselin until the Thanksgiving of my 13th year, when we moved to New Orleans, Louisiana. I lived there for 20 years, then moved to Gilbert, AZ. Lived there for 2 1/2 years, then moved to McAlester, Oklahoma. Lived there for 3 years, then moved to Chandler, AZ, then back to McAlester since Feb 2010, and now I live in Longview, Texas where we have lived for over a year now. My intrests are: psychology, photography, gourmet desserts (I make them from scratch), writing (duh...) astrology, numerology, drawing, painting, home improvement projects, and spirituality (not to be confused with religion).
Though I enjoy the finer things in life and fight to stay optimistic and positive, there is a dark side that stems from 5 1/2 years of multi-level abuse at the hands of one of my ex's. I have used it to my advantage, (when life throws you lemons...make lemon bars!) using those emotional battle scars to help make me a writer with some real depth. Most of what I write comes from experience and some does not. It is up to the reader to figure out which avenue the piece comes from. ☺

GLAD TO BE BACK. . . MY GRANDDAUGHTER'S FATHER, BEAT HER SO SEVERELY, HE CAUSED MULTIPLE FRACTURES ON HER HEAD and BODY. SHE SUCCUMBED TO HER INJURIES 8 DAYS LATER. THIS OCCURED ON LABOR DAY 2009. SHE DIED ON SEPT 14, 2009. WE BURIED HER A WEEK LATER. COME TO FIND OUT, HE WAS ON CRYSTAL METH AT THE TIME AND CLAIMED HE DIDN'T REMEMBER DOING ANYTHING TO HURT HER. HE IS CURRENTLY IN PROTECTIVE CUSTODY, AWAITING HIS TRIAL ON MAY 24TH. THE PROSECUTION IS GOING FULL BOAR FOR THE DEATH PENALTY. ARIZONA IS ONE OF THE STATES THAT CARRIES THE DEATH PENALTY. SHE WAS A MEER 3 WEEKS OLD WHEN THIS HAPPENED. SHE DIED ON WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN HER ONE MONTH MILESTONE. SO, IF YOU'VE MISSED ME, YOU NOW KNOW WHY I HAVEN'T BEEN HERE IN A WHILE. WE ALSO LOST OUR CAR AND HOUSE, HAD TO MOVE IN WITH MY PARENTS FOR 3 MONTHS, BEFORE MOVING BACK OUT TO THE COUNTRY, WHERE WE CURRENTLY RESIDE SINCE FEBRUARY 26TH OF THIS YEAR. GLAD TO BE AWAY FROM THE DESERT AND AWAY FROM THE MURDERER WHO TOOK MY FIRST GRANDCHILD FROM ME.THERE ARE A FEW VERY MEAN SPIRITED WEBSITES THAT PICKED UP THE STORY AND RAN AMUCK WITH IT. TRASH TALKING MY DAUGHTER AND MYSELF TO NO END. SOMEHOW, THEY BLAMED US FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR PRECIOUS, ISABELLA ROSE HOPF. R.I.P. ANGEL BUNNY...
Well, it has been a long and excrutiating road, but here I am again. The monster is now in prison for 37 years. Amen. My daughter Samantha, has since married a former Marine and they had my grandson , Michael Gabriel in late June of last year. I am proud grandma again! My husband has been diagnosed with stage 1 bi-polar, PTSD, anxiety and rage issues, which as you can imagine has been quite a bumpy ride in itself. I am here and feeling creative again. I hop e you all will still embrace me as you once had. I've missed everyone!
