I come from a family of writers, but started late; first with newspaper columns, then professional writing in library science and then on to YA fantasy novels, essays and reviews and now short stories in the YA fantasy and adult mystery genres.
My day job is as the entire staff at the Hartland, Maine public library. Small town libraries provide ample dialogue and story ideas if one pays attention.
