Somewhere around the age of 10 did some strange part of me begin to tap into the disgusting double standards we have when it comes to women. So I began to observe, absorb, retaliate, and question and soon enough I was getting pretty much the same reaction,

"God, you're such a feminist."

Conscious of the negative connotation, I enthusiastically embraced this label - and it was in that moment that the severity of my love for the f-word was heightened.

Needless to say, I am often dissappointed and frustrated in social situations where the women are often agreeing to the topic of discussion no matter how ridiculous the basis of it may be provided it's a man. This honestly happens more than I can care to count, and if only a lot of the women that I knew had faith in their intelligence and perspective they wouldn't be so afraid to represent.

So I like to take up space. I don't want to shrink away, quiet down and comply. I can't sit and nod at idiocy. I do have an opinion. I will speak up. I'm human - therefore I have been granted the ability to make changes, function on my own and maintain my autonomy regardless of your presence. And nothing, nothing bothers me more than, "He's a guy, guy's are just like that."

Now that i've said what i've needed to - do message me if you want to converse about feminism, good music, guilty pleasures, scrubs the show, your inability/ability to sing, jelly beans, flaws about yourself, dreams other people told you were pathetic, faith in whatever you believe, flannel pyjamas, anything, pretty much anything.

I just wanna maybe spread some ideas and along the way, some love wouldn't hurt too!
