Saving Grace

My name's Shelly but my best friend calls me her saving grace. I love writing and singing. i like to write about the world and my views of it. i write about my feelings, i like for my poetry to be able to be taken multiple ways. much of my work is meant for songs. a lot of my old poetry is very dark. I'm trying to write in a more open inquisitive way.
I'm 17. I have a daughter named alexis. I'm in school for cosmetology, but id rather write and sing. I'm thinking of getting an English major when i go to college.
i like meeting new people. I'm a pretty odd person really.. but hey maybe my poetry will reflect that?
