Sakshi Lakhotia

I have written various poems about my perception of the world around me. The spectrum is inclusive of genres such as romance, racism, feminism, curiosity, memory and life. Along with poetry, I have also penned down many short stories and lifestyle articles for various magazines and newspapers in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Also, I am working on a novel of her own. Whilst I am a writer who expresses the beauty that exists in many forms, I also holds great interest in fields of study such as the environment, religion and philosophy. I believe that mankind must always live in harmony with the environment. To me, being an environmentalist is not limited to studying and spreading the word but about simply working for the betterment of the world community, which is also inclusive of the environment humans sustain on. Likewise, I believe that change begins with the first step, individually. I call myself a proud environmentalist and encourage everybody around me to be one too. According to me, an extensive understanding of the religions of the world can help one interpret global issues better. My short-term ambition is to be a published writer through which I wish to not only entertain but also educate with my writing. Also, I aspire to study English and Journalism in college.
