I'm a native of Cascadia.
If you don't believe me,
I have the webbed toes, mildew and rust to prove it.

February Writing Challenge:

When I read, I often keep a scrap of paper handy as a bookmark, or in addition to. I write down words that are new to me, which I am unsure of, or that are used in a way which differs from my understanding.

The list of words which follows are primarily from the First North Americans series by Kathleen O’Neal Gear and W. Michael Gear. My challenge to us is to choose at least three words, ideally words that are new to you, and to employ them in a poem or work of short fiction.

privation
friable
colluvial
lissomely
reverie
muzzy
fescue
languorous
buff

I wonder what we’ll come up with. Ready? Go!

I am happy to receive read requests...

though a little quid pro quo...

is the way to go.
