About Me

Every type of school I went to was in a different country on a different continent: primary school in England, junior high in Ethiopia, high school in Lebanon, and university in the United States. I've been an English teacher in Bolivia, Honduras, California, and Japan. I write a bit of everything, and Lulu has recently published my Panamanian cookbook, Delectable Dishes of Panamanian Cuisine.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! It's so nice to come across something new and give it a try. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm so glad the poem was OK. It's also wonderful to make a few friends in the process. On the writing site I was on that went belly up, a poet introduced me to the Spanish shadorma style, and I had great fun with that too. May post some of those in the coming days. Thanks, Richard, and may your "Eights 'n Sixes" form thrive!

Yee-doggies, Roland!

One thing I can say is, "You aced it, with 'Summertime Again', My Friend!"
What a super creative piece that is spot-on in the requirements, and how happy I am for you that you experienced the joy of composing in my fun "Eights 'n Sixes" form … it lends well to every genré: Romance, tragedy, Nature, happiness, everything one might conceive of, and the rhyme scheme really lets the flow go, especially when it's done as splendidly as you have yours.

Thank you for honoring me by giving this wonderful, original, poetic form of mine a whirl … ya sure done good, and I know Matt's proud of you, too! ~ Richard
