About Me
Richard Allo, born 7th April 1998, is a British teen author from Jersey, the Channel Islands. He began writing at the age of four, producing personalised Mr. Men stories and miniature fiction tales, one of which was sent off to Egmont Books for publishing in 2006, but unfortunately was rejected.
Richard attended De La Salle College from 2002 to 2014, before moving to Hautlieu School for A-Levels, where he currently studies English, Media, History and Geography (all of which are his favourite subjects). When not writing, Richard is a keen filmmaker and has produced various shorts and several documentaries. He is also an eager poet and, on top of this, enjoys performing standup comedy and is renowned for presenting various competitions and charity shows across Jersey.
More recently, Richard has established himself as a thriller writer, with many sub-genres including historical, adventure and suspense. In 2013 he published his first two novels, The Lock and Black Flight on online publishing site Lulu, before they became available on the Apple iBooks Store for downloading. They additionally appeared in Jersey stores in 2014.
As of 2014, Richard has started writing non-fiction, with special interests in geography and natural science. He wishes to continue writing and publish more works in the future and, as stated frequently in his afterwords, he is extremely grateful to his readers and reveals his only one desire: to thrill and entertain through words!
