About Me

I grew up wanting to be an inventor. Somewhere in the middle I fell heavily into computer games and competitive gaming. Shortly after that, I found a great interest in Japanese anime and manga.
In school I never had to try hard to pass English classes, sometimes I wish that I could have been challenged more. It always seemed like the teachers didn't know how to grade someones work, except in grammatical terms. I always got simple praise from close friends about my creative ideas, but I've always learned to doubt what my close friends think.
Early on I never read that much, I was more of a visual learner. So when I came up with my first few story ideas in the beginning of high-school, I knew what I wanted the whole way through the story, but lacked a lot of the skills to write it. Recently, within the last few years, I've started reading more. I've taken every English class I can in this short time.
Inside I believe that my urge to invent things as a kid, has grown into the urge to show people my creations of the mind. Whenever I tend to write things; poetry, short stories, or novels. I tend to try and challenge myself. I give myself certain restrictions, as though I was still in school, and try to write around them and jump as far outside the box as the restrictions would allow.
Now when I sit down and try to write, I'm lost with the amount of freedom I have over the content. Luckily I still have one close friend that is willing to argue and debate with me on the logistics of the story. Hopefully, with perseverance I can get this idea that's been eating me alive for the last few years, out of me.
