About MeThe Basics:
I am a 20 year old college senior studying for a BA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing at City University in London England through Emerson College. I am originally from upstate New York where I lived with my mother, father, and younger brother. While I'm from America, my heart is set in Europe. I live in England and have visited Spain and Germany before and simply adored it. I hope to return again someday soon. I am an avid writer. I have brown hair and green eyes. Likes and Interests: I love writing (anything from short stories, novels, poetry, screen plays, songs, etc.), photography, and occasionally drawing/doodling. I also love researching things, especially for my current writings. I'm a huge history freak, as well (which is why many of my writings are historical fictions), especially on WWI and WWII and the Victorian Ages. German, Ancient Egyptian, and British history are my favorites. I am a huge animal lover. I'm greatly interested in paleontology and geology (and almost pursued it as a major) as well as archeology. Spending time with my friends always makes my day. I love seafood and trips to the beach. I love taking long walks in the park, listening to music, and daydreaming. Dislikes/Disinterests: I hate intolerance... with a passion. Racism/homophobia/sexism, etc. Hate it. I also hate art thieves; I'm big on copyright and the laws that follow. I also can't stand flamers and internet trolls. Writings: Writing is my life. I am a published poet and author with my first piece published when I was 12 years old in a national youth contest. Since then, I have avidly participated in contests worldwide and have won at many different levels multiple times. I have had numerous poems, news articles, and short stories published, and one novella and two novels. In 2009, I received a place in the Top Ten Poets of New York with a poem dedicated to my novels' illustrator. I have been interviewed multiple times, as well, for student reports, education programs for students looking to pursue writing as a career, in local newspapers, as well as on a live radio show with my illustrator in the summer of 2009. I am currently working on a novel set in Victorian London entitled "Fiction". |
