Guidelines for submission can be found here. Dorset Prize The Dorset Prize is an open poetry competition, for which begins in September. The Dorset Prize Submission Period for 2006 is Closed July Open Submissions: Every July, Tupelo Press accepts book-length submissions of poetry, creative literary non-fiction, and memoirs. All 2006 July Open Submissions must have been postmarked by July 31, 2006. Submissions posted at a later date will not be accepted.

An award-wining poet, his most recent volume of poetry, The Rumor of Cortez, published by Red Hen Press, has been nominated for the L.A. Times Book Award in Poetry. His first book Mortal, Everlasting, won the 2001 Transcontinental Poetry Award from Pavement Saw Press. The driving force behind the launch of Tupelo Press in 1999, it was his desire to promote the discovery, publication and distribution of work by new and exciting voices.
