About
The Anaphora Literary Press was started as an academic press with the publication of the Pennsylvania Literary Journal (PLJ) in 2009. In the Winter of 2010, Anaphora began accepting book-length submissions. Anaphora has now published over 130 creative and non-fiction books. John Paul Jaramillo’s collection of short stories received an honorable mention for the Latino Literacy Now’s Mariposa Award Best First Fiction Book Award. Professors have taught from a few Anaphora books. Many Anaphora writers have scheduled readings at the top venues like Barnes and Nobles, AWP, and major libraries. Anaphora books have been featured in national newspapers and on major network broadcasts. PLJ has published interviews with best-selling and award-winning writers like Geraldine Brooks and Larry Niven, as well as interviews with the winners of the Sundance and Brooklyn Film festivals.

Additional Information
Anaphora has two publishing platforms: cooperative and traditional. The traditional road is competitive and only available to top submissions. Most submissions qualify for the cooperative road, where writers buy 40 copies at 25% off the cover price of a soft cover, and this covers all costs associated with making the ebook, soft and hard cover versions, and allows for a high volume of new releases from relatively new writers.
