About Me

Wayne Peake spent his early childhood in the small town of Trout Lake on the edge of the Hiawatha National Park. It was and is -- a beautiful place, surrounded by cedar swamp and dense forest. Moss grows thick on rock walls and boulders that were exposed or left behind by the moment of glaciers across this land. No forest giants remain here; every one was harvested to supply the needs of young country with growing pains. It is a land of contrasts where sand dunes are cut from high hills and gulls from the great lakes drift and swoop in the high winds.

He went to a one-room schoolhouse in this little town, and played alone in the car junkyard and the abandoned sawmill that sat near the little white trailer that was his home. Perhaps it was these things that stirred his youthful imagination and made of him a dreamer and thus an artist.

Thanks Mishy

I haven't tried an Amozon search, but I would be extemely suprised if anything came up. I entered Willow's Creek in a contest on here, about a week ago, and still haven't gotten any reviews.

Hiya Wayne, cool, I'll check it out soon enough. Glad you had a nice x mas, and that you were around family. Yeah, still writing here. Though, a friend made me feel as if I had a dim chance of getting published. I feel very strong about my writing, I told him. He said, "well, then follow your dream, is all I can say," lol, anyhoot, will try to search engine ya, and look you up in Amazon too. You know, you can write to them and maybe they will tell you under what title you are or something like that. Don't give up, your earnings also depend on it. Have a great day, mishy

Hi Mishy

I had a couple of things published at Bewildering Tales online, The Devil's Pen and Willow's Creek... The Strange Diary of Anna Dupree was on Amazon but I can't remember the name of the collection it was in... I was looking for it too so I could use it in my publishing credits and in case I wanted to submit it somewhere else.

I really appreciate your comments about my writing. I have a few stories started but I just seem to get so far and then I quit working on them. I really need to knuckle down and finish them.

I had a really nice Christmas. I spent Christmas Day at my Sister's and my Mom and Grandma were there.

I glad to hear that you are still writing.

All the best,
Wayne

Wayne! sorry, did not see your post, how's are you? Awww, you got published, so glad. Tell me how can I buy a copy of your work? I'd like an official published work from you, I'm a great fan of your writing. If you ever want to contact me, I'm under [email protected] . I hope your X mas went jolly. I had a great christmas. Not as usual. I went house hopping. I fell asleep at my aunts and uncle's house. lol, but it went well, what have you been up to?

The same was with me, I was writing and writing, but I think I'm seasonal, I write in the summer, my brain cells just burst then.

lol

I'm trying to write 2 novels at one time. Its hectic, but I'm excited for them. They are not the best of my work, but I'm leaving the best for last. lol

hugs

Hi Misha

I guess I did something wrong, still trying to get this new interface figured out. I was trying to wish you a Merry Christmas in the e-mail. I have had a couple of things published at Bewildering Stories, but I haven't actually gotten paid for a story yet... I was looking over some things and discovered to my dismay that I haven't finished a story in two years, the last one was Willow's Creek. Man for a while there I was writing a couple of stories a month.

Anyways... Merry Christmas dear and I hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season.

well, the first one, apartment 143, i thought i had another copy from the one i threw, lol, dumb dumb, and two others i threw away, not thinking clearly, i tend to throw things when i feel cluttered, or agitated, things i think will no longer be used, or are just so messy, so yeah, but I wrote to a friend, to send it to me, apartment 143, i think he has a copy, and the others i'll just rewrite, eeee, ughghgh, lol
