About Me

I love poetry, prose and spoken word. I am a poet who loves to write about life, and everyday life experiences. My poetry reflects the everyday struggles of life, and truth. I don't follow the rules of proper form, and punctuation may not be correct, but the message is clear!

You Are 98% Creative

You are an incredibly creative person. For you, there are no bounds or limits to your creativity.

Your next creation could be something very great... Or at least very cool!

You Are a Visionary Soul

You are a curious person, always in a state of awareness.

Connected to all things spiritual, you are very connected to your soul.

You are wise and bright: able to reason and be reasonable.

Occasionally, you get quite depressed and have dark feelings.

You have great vision and can be very insightful.

In fact, you are often profound in a way that surprises yourself.

Visionary souls like you can be the best type of friend.

You are intuitive, understanding, sympathetic, and a good healer.

Souls you are most compatible with: Old Soul and Peacemaker Soul

Your Hidden Talent

You are a great communicator. You have a real way with words.

You're never at a loss to explain what you mean or how you feel.

People find it easy to empathize with you, no matter what your situation.

When you're up, you make everyone happy. But when you're down, everyone suffers.

Thought you'd like this heard this alot it's my favorite song, I know you could relate to it, it's from Linkin Park, hmm I know right well pal to you from me, Peace pal ;)!

"Leave Out All The Rest"
"By: Linkin Park"

I dreamed I was missing
You were so scared
But no one would listen
Cause no one else cared

After my dreaming
I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here

So if you're asking me
I want you to know

[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed

And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
[End Chorus]

Don't be afraid
I've taken my beating
I've shared what I made

I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you

So if you're asking me
I want you to know

[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed

Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
[End Chorus]

Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well

Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are

[Chorus]
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed

Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory

Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest

Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well

Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are

Still in my mind buddy ;)

Well Jeff, Your words may be gone from Writer's Cafe' forever, but your impact lingers still...A repost simply because his words are within this piece!

Jeff Jazznan Avery, A Profound writer here on Writer's Cafe'- Departed This Life On September 27, 2007....A Powerful Brutha' That Will Truly Be Missed!

Sometimes, our walk is not our own.

Sometimes, we are forced to walk alone.

Somestimes, in life a path is chosen for us.

Somestimes, standing in truth is a must.

Sometimes, we are judged and misunderstood.

Sometimes, we sacrifice for the greater good.

Sometimes, our emotions take the wheel.

sometimes, our heart's say, "Just be still"

A Tribute To Your Strength, Courage and love...For family & Humanity

Your friend,

Gaynell

Jeff, answered the call, with great persistance, he said,

"I walk the path of the righteous trying not to stray right or left, but to walk a straight and narrow, of hollow existence of nonresistance"...

Jeff, uncovered many wrongs, then strived to make them right, he said,

"I want my light to shine bold and bright.
Not tucking my tail or afraid to fight.
Professing a faith in God, but afraid to come to the light"...

Jeff, knew he bared the burden of a revolutionary, he said,

"As I look for time,
I find hazed and confused days,
I am forever walking through the valley of snares.
I ask not GOD the question why!
On this journey, I know I must bare the cross that I carry"...

Jeff, had a way of rising above, he said,

"I apologize for being a true friend
I apologize for never sugar coating the truth.
I apologize for keeping it way too real.
I apologize for not being a thug, and for being a man,
I apologize for not being hooked on drugs, but hooked on love"...

Jeff, had a mission of the part that he must play, he said,

"Teach love, show love, and spread love,
In addition, bring peace!
Open thy minds eye,
For our children let us teach.
Teach our children from our youthful days.
Nurture them with love,
Thus, their lives maybe saved
From the worldly ways of our youthful days"...

Jeff, loved his children with all of his heart, he said,

"When I say that I love you, I mean that I love you!
The love I feel for my sons is an unconditional,
never ending agape kind of love.
not a day that goes by without thoughts of you.
Its hard to hold back the emotions felt,
with lost time and years,
it is so hard to fight back the tears.
To you my sons, you are near and dear to my heart,
my love for you has been there from the start.
I may not be there with you everyday,
but everyday thoughts of you will never from me part"

Jeff, was given a vision of mortal insight, he said,

"If I should die 2-night, I want it to be remembered that I lived a full life. I want it to be remembered that I truly loved life!

If I should die 2-night please dont cry for me! Think about the good times and all the laughter. Memories of me should bring a smile to your heart.

If I should die 2-night remember my warm smile and my big bear hugs, remember that I never let a day go by without showing in some way or saying that I love you.

If I should die 2-night remember that I tried to love everyone for who they were!

If I should die 2-night remember how I was always the peacemaker!

If I should die 2-night, I want my children to remember that daddy loved them unconditionally! I want my sons to be strong, proud men, I want my daughters to be the queens that they are. If I should die 2-night I want you to remember I said

Never let the sun go down on you with anger in your hearts and minds

Forgiveness is the key to happiness!

If I should die 2-night, I want it to be known to those that hated me without cause, I loved and prayed for you! I want it to be known that I held no grudge with anyone! I was a friend indeed, if I was down to my last $3 dollars and 6 dimes, know that $1.80 of that was yours!

If I should die 2-night, know that I tried to fight a righteous fight, if I should die 2-night!"

Jeff "Jazzman" Avery, laid down his sword and shield and went home, on September 27, 2007...6 months after "If I Should Die 2-Night" was written!

Sometimes, the battles of life we fight and win, but in every true battle, a great warrior's life must surely come to an end...

Rest In Peace Jeff
