About Me

Over the course of my life I have discarded (for one reason or another) so much of my writing and every time, I have a sense of deep loss.

I am appreciative now of just how personal my writing is to me so I joined writerscafe as a way to cherish, preserve and also share the words I find and the words I knit together.

I am newly 29. I am newly divorced. I am from Alaska but I live in sunny Arizona. I am a nurse. I love knitting, sewing, and baking.

Writing doesn't happen as often as it used to; it comes and goes. But when it comes I've learned to cherish the moment.

thanks. in a million years, i dunno why exactly, i never thought you'd like that one! writer's block...or some such thing...seems to be affecting several people here lately. so, am i to assume the new posts are older writes? anyway, i feel your pain. that poem is the only thing i've actually finished in nearly 2 months. the last few days, i haven't even tried. just doing things to distract me, waiting to feel like myself again, or something along those lines. anyway, thanks much...glad to see ya on my myspace page too, lol. as soon as i am back in the groove w/reading (hopefully with writing as well) i'll be checking out your new posts. :)

I've been all right. Sort of. :) In a little slump, haven't posted anything new in ages. Oh, I sent you a link to a poem from a new member here. Something about it made me think you'd appreciate it.

How have you been? Hey, I finished Diary. It was okay. I liked Choke better. Actually, Diary is an awfully similar to Rosemary's Baby. (One of my favorite films, ever!) Which might explain the blurb from Ira Levin on the dustjacket. Anyway, just wanted to drop in and say hello.
