About Me

I've had this profile for years, but I am not on it much any longer. I will admit that it's difficult to keep up with the read requests, and I find there are those who tend to "not" appreciate honest critiques. With that being said, I kind of lost my taste for the site. I hate to sound cynical, but it is what it is. I stroll on by every great once in a while and, sometimes, I am surprised by a review or a nice piece of writing, and, then, I go back into my reclusive shell.

I understood that the world was nothing: a mechanical chaos of casual, brute enmity on which we stupidly impose our hopes and fears. I understood that, finally and absolutely, I alone exist. All the rest, I saw, is merely what pushes me, or what I push against, blindlyas blindly as all that is not myself pushes back.

~ John Gardner

There are two dogs inside me. One of the dogs is mean and evil. The other dog is good. The mean dog fights the good dog all the time. . .which dog usually wins . . .the one I feed the most.

Your reviews are always a breath of fresh air and sunshine. You always seem to connect with the words that I try so hard to perfect. Thanks for that.

Women come in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes, I wear makeup and fix my hair, if I have to. . . I might not be afraid of a mouse, but sometimes I'm afraid of the dark. We're women. We're complicated. I used to say in reviews that everybody should have a "song of myself". Now I think that we should have a "song of myself" for every mood. lol
