Writing is just a hobby for me - one of my many methods of creative expression, along with artwork, music, building scale models, restoring old cars, and, of course, reading.

If I didn't have artistic expression, I believe I would explode form all of the bottled-up ideas I have inside. With everything I see or encounter in life my mind is churning, imagining how I can turn it into a plotline, or a character in a story, or a piece of artwork, or a song. I didn't ask to be this way, but I really like it, even if it can be a bit overwhelming at times.

The odd plot twist in my life is that I am an engineer by profession. For so many years it was ingrained in me by outside forces that the majority of people have either a mathematical and analytical brain OR they have an artistic brain. Somehow I got both - and I know there are others of you out there that got both as well.
