Monica Peniche

Born in San Diego but raised in Tijuana: bordertown child. Heavily Influenced by Magical Realism, I've lived my life from city to city and have finally settled (for now) in Los Angeles. Happy Childhood, Heavy-partying teens, the 'volta' of my life was when my father was murdered, November 2004. After that, my writing has become more confessional (and more scarce). Currently waiting for that big break we all are.
