I got into poetry about two years ago when I stumbled upon a video of Sarah Kay performing her infamous spoken word poem "Hands" on YouTube. I was hooked immediately! I had always been interested in the arts before then, but that experience showed me that the spoken and written word can be just as powerful and evocative as any other art form. Ever since then I've been writing on my own, reading the works of others, and learning all I can about poetry.

Aside from poetry I enjoy playing flute, filling up my sketch book, watching cheesy Netflix comedy specials, and listening to bad indie music.
