Lets see....

My name is Katy and I am 16 years old. I am a sophomore at Decatur High School in Alabama. My mom died January 24, 2006 of lung and brain cancer. She was my best friend, my hero, and my roomie. My mom was my life. My parents had been divorced since I was 4, so I never really saw my dad, except for once a month. So it was a BIG change when I had to move out of the house I grew up in, move all of our stuff and memories out, and move in with the father I really didn't know much about. My life has totally turned upside down since last January, so I like to write poetry (even though I'm not very good at it) to cope with my grief.
