About Me
Monique-Elise Delagraentiss has had since childhood one favorite past-time: reading, which led to her irrepressible zeal for writing. Her works vary from poetry and prose to lecture and other dissertations. Being born of a psychiatrist/minister father and nurse/missionary mother in Dallas, Texas; instilled in her a viewpoint perhaps just right of center, juxtaposed beside having worked with and among Houston's homeless population for 15 years however; has created a central perspective throughout her writing tone.
Moniques' passion for sharing her work began at 3 years old as she and her siblings traversed the Texas country side in various singing groups and continued as an escape from boredom during small amounts of innactivity while serving in the US Air Force at the age of 20. Among other works of hers previously published are included a few folk tunes generally considered in high regard. Her hobbies include horse-back riding, reading during local children's story times, and perfecting her musicianship.
