Writing, for me, has always been the friend who brought out the best in me, and who would never argue with me, except when necessary to point out my many obvious inconsistancies.
Writing and I have had a comfortable relationship for over forty years now, and, with the addition of a ready community of others with similar companions, both I and my writing have grown enormously in the past two years.
Lately, I am asked more and more often to mentor those who are just starting out, though my style is very much not in the current fashion. This I take as high praise, and with luck and persistance, mayhap I can bring a lost soul or two back from the brink of diary-hea so prevalent here, and convert their doubtlessly sincere emotions into actual poetry: a little Rhyme, a little Focus, a lot less Profanity, and a beautiful Thought becomes, as if by magic, a beautiful Read!
