Hi there, my name is Jerri Aubry/Cote and I love to read and write books and poetry. I live in Northern California with my two sons and darling husband. I also live with three purrrrfect kitties and two short little weiner dogs. I have my master's degree in Psychology as a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have written several books and a lot of poetry. I have spent more than 10 years working with people who have developmental disabilities such as Autism. I have spent the last five years focusing on working with children diagnosed with Autism in their homes. I help to educate the entire family on Autism and how this affects some of their skill deficits and some of their very many talents. I love to see how a child with Autism learns how to cope with daily stress such as school, homework, and home life and watch them deal with situations differently and watch the ultimate change happen. It warms my heart to help others especially those that are struggling with anxiety and depression. Most of the children and adults I have worked with have had mental diagnosis too such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and many more. I love watching people open their eyes and awe as they see an individual with a disability be able to overcome obstacles in their lives. I have had the opportunity to watch families grow together and to watch parents deal with stress differently because I was able to help them put the pieces back together and allow them to be whole once again.
