Lori Jo Switzer

I am 47 years old and the single Momma of 4.
I have loved to write since I can remember. At one time I believed I could make something of this.
I am a recovering alcoholic and addict. I have been that way from age 12 until just over a year ago when I decided I wanted to deal with life without crutches and without drowning it out.
I had a very abusive childhood. I am a survivor of sexual and verbal and physical abuse.
I spent most of my life with abusive and controlling men because I had no self esteem and no respect for myself whatsoever.
I have started to write again during this time as well as paint. I am an artist, a musician that plays classical flute.
My children and my family are my life and my world.
I am very humanistic and my recent writings are things that have happened to me in my life and my journey towards healing that I began in October of 2007 and will continue the rest of my time in this life.
