The text tells the story of Grant and Crystal, two people determined to escape their painful past and searching for new life together. Grant was released from prison after several years for a crime committed by his brother. When he reunites with his former girlfriend Ericka, he learns that he may be the father of her as he noticed the resemblance. In the midst of things, he attempts a new relationship with Crystal, a stripper also in the process of reconstructing her life after experiencing several years of trauma with her last boyfriend, who turned out to be a drug lord.



Unsatisfied with the way his life is moving, Grant gets involved with Ericka again and in the middle of her abusive relationship with her police officer boyfriend, who sets him up. Grant is then sent back to prison for another crime he did not commit. Meanwhile, Crystal is trying to decide if her love for Grant can withstand all of the drama when she is facing her own life changing decisions and her past comes back to haunt her. When the ghosts of their past catches up to them, their backs are up against the wall and they are faced with murder, pregnancy, love and lies. Will they be able to withstand it all and be together? About the Author

NaTasha A. Bailey is a native of San Diego, California. She is a graduate of the University of Phoenix, where she received a BA in Human Services. She is presently in the works to release her second novel Worst Case Scenario. She resides in San Diego with her husband and daughters.
