Thank you for the review of my poem :-) It is true that I had a best friend like that. We always loved each other, but not in the romantic sense. Always there for each other, we could rescue one another and keep each other safe when something went wrong. People always thought we should be together as a couple, but we both knew it wasn't supposed to happen. My friendship with him was probably better than any romantic relationship I have had. It truly was amazing.
