Master Voluminous' Mortiferous Arcadia

My name is Gift Chukwuemeka Enyadike. I was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, but I've spent most of my life in South Africa, Johannesburg in particular.


I didn't always have an interest in writing, but I did occasionally draw characters and imagine stories for some of my favourite pop culture characters. Now I draw influence from some of those characters to create my own. Vatour in particular draws inspiration from DC Comic's Batman, Casey Jones, from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise, James O'Barr's Eric Draven of The Crow, Raizo from the 2009 crime/thriller, Ninja Assassin, Train Heartnet from the Manga/Anime, Black Cat, Michael Myers, the face of the Halloween franchise and the greatest comic book antihero in the history of mankind, The Punisher. FIGHT ME!!! I took elements from these characters to create the vigilante terrorist that I hope you will come to know and love/hate.


Each of my protagonists holds a trait that I possess, have possessed or hope to posses, in some ways they are extensions of myself. My children, so to speak. I got the name Mortiferous Arcadia from the oxymoron "Fatal Paradise", Mortiferous is a synonym of Fatal, originating from the Latin word Mortifer, meaning "deadly" or "fatal". Arcadia is the Greek word for "Paradise" as well as a province in the country itself. Many of my stories will have titles written in other languages, for fun of course, also because it allows me to learn other languages and cultures.
