About Me
Laika Wallace (he/it/sie) is a dog who died in space. No wait, that's just Laika. Laika Wallace is an Indigenous horse wo/man whose many ghosts haunt the streets of "Ottawa" creating poetry, fantasy & sci fi novels, music, and mixed media artwork.
It is a young adult who writes for the 13-20+ age range. Hir preferred genre is fantasy, with some sci fi, mystery, and horror elements. Through fiction, he writes about his experiences being an intersex polyamorous LGBT femme, being an urban NDN, his spirituality and relationship to Judaism, and living with his disabilities, autism, and other neurodivergencies. It lives on unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin territory with its guinea pigs and ball python. Aside from writing, sie also creates digital art, collages, mixed media pieces, electronic music, and dabbles in sculpture and sewing. Some of hir hobbies include reading, hiking and walking in local natural areas, swimming, trying interesting and new soda flavors, Randonauting and urbex, and collecting pieces of broken ceramics.
