I retired from 38 years of teaching this past June. It has been a difficult transition, at best. I am still adjusting, after almost nine months. My dream has been to write, and I am doing just that. Even though I have yet to be published, I consider myself a writer. I write poetry, children's books, YA fiction. My favorite genre is science fiction. I am a member of Suzanne Lieurance's Childrens Writers and Coaching Club (CWCC). I am a member of SCWBI and subscribe to several magazines. At this point, I am writing articles for children's magazines, but have yet to submit. I have also sent in works to contests. That is about it for Linda, the writer.
I am also the mother of two adult children and the grandmother of one. My husband and I live in Bethel, Maine with seven cats, a big old yellow lab, and a pet rat.
