I write because it's the only thing that comes second nature to me, because it's the only thing that has been my constant companion. I'm a young girl of 17 from the Midwest. I mostly write poetry and short stories. Right now, however, my main project is my second novel. Hopefully I finish this one. Much of my writing is influenced by the confessionalist style of Anne Sexton and the intimate biographical style of Elie Wiesel.
