On Friday, June 13, 2014, beginning at 7 p.m., and ending on Sunday, June 15th at 12 noon, event location(s) to be announced, I am hereby calling all Florida poets to submit their most authentic work to the first annual Hogtown Poetry Festival, a weekend-long event, filled with readings & workshops & a poetry contest featuring a cash prize of $1,000, sponsored by an anonymous beneficiary of the Gatorade Trust established by Dr. Robert Cade, inventor of Gatorade and lover of poetry.
