About Me

I am a story teller and I think I always have been so. I am a story teller because I know that stories are important. I know they are important because I see the power that they have. I enjoy telling stories and I enjoy hearing stories, because listening also has power. I am truly grateful for the stories of others.

I am also a story teller because I have come to a time in my life when that seems the best thing to do; to tell the story of my life or at least my best collage, assembled from the images which remain to me. It's a good story I think and I am glad to tell it. Besides, it is the only story I have left to tell and it is important to me. I can only hope that you enjoy listening.

I write, because that is the best way to tell stories.

I am 57 and male; twice divorced father of a very astute daughter and "Papa" to two wonderful grandchildren. I have lived in many places but I have recently, and I believe finally, returned to my hometown of Riverside, CA.

I ride my bike. I eat. I wonder from whither my rent will come. These last three years have taken an exceptionally large toll on me and I hope there is a break in the clouds soon. I am not yet published, but then I have never really considered that up until now. That, I suppose, is why I am here.

I sure do miss you, fellow prodigal! The shine that emanates from the most stubborn darkness makes your words magical, and is a beacon to me as I blindly grope my way to the light.
