About Me
Carey Borgens, a native of Texas, was born in Denton. Her parents divorced when she was young, giving her the opportunity to live in many different places across the United States such as: Derby, Connecticut, Bass Harbor, Maine,San Jose, California and even spent a summer in Montreal, Canada. She has lived long term in Indiana, Arizona, and Texas. Carey has always had an active lifestyle and has enjoyed activities such as: swimming, archery, ice skating, gymnastics, piano, tennis, choir, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, track, cross-country, and has been a member of many horse and rodeo clubs throughout her life. A major car accident in 1995 immobilized Carey for nearly a year, allowing her to focus more on her writing talents, expanding on dozens of short stories she had written since the 3rd grade. Carey has long had a passion for animals and has worked in the veterinary field for nearly two decades. She also has worked at a rescue ranch, rehabilitating abused, injured, and neglected horses. Most of Carey's family resides in Texas. She has a twin sister.
