About MeWhen I first registered on this website, I was 17 years old. Needless to say, it needed a facelift! I have grown so much in the past five years and my profile needs to reflect this.
While I acquired my Associates Degree in Journalism back in 2007, I took some time to discover that I wanted to study Linguistics. As a result, I eventually (and recently) graduated with my Bachelors in Arts and Science focusing on English Linguistics. Currently, I am a new mother, raising my bundle of joy. In the meantime of either going back to school for my Masters or going back to work, I decided to get back into writing, as it is a talent I miss pursuing. Who I am embodies what I write--knowledge seeker, mother, LInguist, Palestinian, American, human. With my experiences come new interests in what I like to write about. As a new mother, I have found it to be fun to write about what I called "Observed Mommy Symptoms," a comedic approach to all I learn about raising a baby. Because of my experience as an undergraduate student, I have also enjoyed writing about language variations of Arabic/English speakers, semantics and syntax (as well as reading on these topics, too!) Finally, I also like to journal about my transition from independent working student to stay-at-home-mommyhood. Comments
