About Me

The following few paragraphs, written by Katrina when asked why she writes and how she is unique, will give you an idea of the kind of person she is:

I have been writing short stories since I was six years old. My first story was about three unicorns who walk into an alternate dimension where a world war is taking place. Even at six, I was a bit twisted. I've been writing news articles since I was ten years old. My first one had something to do with my homeroom's decorating committee--obviously not newsworthy enough for me to remember it. In the past year, my articles have spanned from mutliple reviews of local nightlife to the upcoming smoking ban in the city of Charleston. I write because there's nothing else that I was meant to do. I have room to grow, room to improve. But it's something I fell in love with at a young age. You know what they say--true love lasts forever.

You ask how I'm unique like I would know the answer. Some would say I'm different because of my tattoos or piercings or the fact that my hair hasn't been its natural color since I was fourteen. Others would say that I'm crazy because in spite of what I've just listed, I recently got married and have worked in "corporate America" for the past three and a half years. I am my own person. Philosophers would argue, saying that I am unique because we're all snowflakes.
