I would like to write about things that people are afraid to admit or talk about. In my story "The Empath" my main character has been diagnosed with a variety of anxiety and social disorders. When she discovers that she is really an Empath and can sense other people's emotions, she learns to control her abilities. I would like people to be able to identify with her and know that even if they have mental or emotional health issues, they are beautiful the way that they are.

Other writing that I'm working on is mostly fictional stories about adopted children from foster care and the struggles they face.

Non-fictional work - I would like to write about my own experiences as an adoptive parent and the challenges and blessings it brings. I would hope that it would encourage other families.

I live in Central Oregon. My husband and I have been married for 10 years. We have six children by both birth and adoption. I am an avid YA reader and writer.
I would love to connect with other people to make friends and would love support in my writing and support others as well :-)
