About Me

Scorpion tails and wolf hearts overrun the world everyone has a trick to get ahead but how many smiles in a lifetime how many moments of peace in a day who knows a toppled cart means try another track when trouble strikes there is no time for shame this old monk isn’t just talking he’s trying to remove your obstacles and chains

– From The Zen Works of Stonehouse: Poems and Talks of a 14th Century Chinese Hermit, translated by Red Pine (Counterpoint 1999).

And the song, it's the song that runs through my mind while I'm writing the story so... they're probably going to be up for quite a while.

Blasphemah!!!

No, it's just a screenshot of a movie I was watching while letting my mind unwind after rewriting and rewriting and proofreading and fixing and wanting the punch the writer in the head for not paying attention to what he was typing while he was hacking out a Loss of Spirit3. The picture is kind of a little bit of a... not inspiration or muse or anything... just seems to fit the "book" I'm writing now. The boogieman is know as "the grey man", the shadowy form lurking in the background. Which bugs me because it reminds me of "Mr. Grey" from Dreamcatcher. But since I'm up to my knees in the story, I'm not going to change it. So, that's the story behind the picture.

P.S. n' by-the-frickin'-way:
"Ba de ya" is not Latin.
Unless it's Latin for "Shake ya rump n' do The Bump!" ♥
