Open Your Mind Before Your Mouth

All my life, writing has been the one thing I've been good at. Of course, that's an opinion, and it depends on your tastes. Throughout everything in my semi-short life, writing is the one thing that connects me to life. Putting my emotions on paper, my fears, mistakes, and heart's desire, all of that is therapeutic for me. But I suppose we're all like that, as far as writers go.

For me personally, throughout my profile, you will find poems about the first time I fell in love, the first time I had my heart absolutely destroyed by someone I considered the love of my life, the depression I went through, issues with my parents while I was in high school, bad choices I made, how I see the world, when I gave my life to the military, when I gave my heart to a man I decided was good enough to marry, the numerous times he cheated, when he destroyed our marriage, took the two children, my two children, my entire world from me, and finally, now to the man I have met and started a life with. All of this, in written format, is me. The essence of me.

Oh...and my name is Juli. I'm 22, pregnant at 19, married at 19, pregnant again at 20, getting divorced at 22. I have done what people do over a span of ten years in just a few years. You better believe I need an outlet to get this s**t off my chest ;)
