James Oliver Smith, Jr

Born in 1951, I have lived in most segments of the united states and have had several careers (blue collar, preacher, computer scientist, corporate trainer, college professor and writer). I am in that downsizing phase of life where I am hoping to focus on my writing more. Maybe I'll even figure out who I am before i die and leave something behind as evidence of that. I study Italian and creative writing. Currently I am focusing a lot on memoir work in the context of creative non-fiction as I work to construct a narrative of my fragmented life.
