Johnny Tragedy

Well, what should I tell you about myself. The funny thing is that I could tell you whatever I wanted to and you would have no choice but to believe me. Lets start by saying that I am 27 and an aspiring writer. I currently write for a straight edge magazine called sXe. I write the comedy section where I interview stand-up comedians. I dont limit myself to one style of writing. I also write short stories, one of which I have published called "It Should've Been Me". I am currently in the process of writing a short film script for the same story. My passion, I would say, lies with poetry. I have been writing poetry and song lyrics for many years and have been published on several occasions for my poetry. I have an entire poetry book that I am ready to get published and more songs written than I can count. My goal in life would probably be to get paid for doing what I love, which is writing. My current projects are as follows: A novel called "7 days" in which I am currently working on the outline and introduction; A non-fiction book called "What She Wants" in which I am currently in the research phase; A short film based on my short story "It Should've Been Me"; Several other short stories that have not evolved past an idea yet but will get finished one day...hopefully; And finally, I am trying to publish at least one interview a week in the magazine. I love comedy as satire, but my true passion lies in Tragedy, as you can probably tell by my pseudonym, Johnny Tragedy. Tragedy just seems to have a more realistic effect than any other genre. Through the darkness the light will be shown, or something like that. I love music and am putting together a band called TrAgiK right now as well. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my work.
