Dear fellow writers,
A few years ago, I came face to face with the fact that my profession, the public health/nutrition one, had seemingly not done a very good job at communicating about diet and obesity prevention. We knew plenty about the subject of obesity before it was a crisis, but we found ourselves juggling with the crisis like it was slippery soap, we just couldn’t catch it and it’s ended up all gooey at the bottom of the bath. Nobody wants to touch it. Everyone is all talk, but essentially nothing much seems to happen. So I just couldn’t help but feel a little responsible, and intrigued as well so I decided to investigate this problem. What was it really all about, and what was behind the apparent apathy.
