About Me
JL Myers has been/is an: independent film writer/producer/director, a bar owner, an army special operator, married and divorced, a restaurateur, an intermittent blogger, a mortgage banker, and a literary fiction author whose gritty style of fiction has been read and appreciated by so few, for so long, that its about damn time a wider audience got down and dirty with him. He used to say the best thing he ever was, was a soldier. He used to say that. Myers holds a B.A. in American Studies and may one day pursue an MFA in Creative Writing in the hopes of breaking the mold that the academics keep shoving young writers into. His work has been published by Papyrus, Ripe Magazine, Pulpbits, FirstWriter and The Oklahoma Center for Poets & Writers.
