About Me

I have been an aspiring writer for years. I tried to work on myself at every chance I had while writing. I should be saying, I still am. Wanting dearly to become a good writer... Studied publishing at my local library for a solid six months. I have always been a self educated individual. Taking English Grammar books out to keep myself from being rusty. Its tough being a writer. If it weren't for an active imagination, I wouldn't be able to do it.

One of these fine day's---and we call all of them; the good old day's. There are the best of times we all haven't seen yet so far, not as long as I am concerned. As far as I can tell, and I never tell anyone anything. I never impose myself on anybody. Plus, as my last dying breath---there is no way, no one can ever say to anyone; what-to do with their life, nor do or interfere with any person as far as I am concerned....not a' chance. I have lived, only until 58 years young. And believe me, I have been around more places, and have been in more situations---if you want to call it that---than most people have ever been. I traveled all across America in search for the perfect world, and listen; a' perfect world does not exist. So listen, if there is one, so called perfect world---let me know, so some how we will find it together...end of story

"Sooner or Later"

I have benn bounced around from being rejected by publihers more times that care to admit. Right about now, the only think I have to fall back on. The fact that some of the most successful authors have been rejected more than I have. For instance, James Patterson received 31 rejections before finding the right Editor which took a chance on his novel. I am working on topping his record so far with 12 of my own. Perhaps as soon as my own Mojo kicks in full zone, I'll become the lucky writer with a best seller.

I have an observation which I have been reluctant to put out there in respect that I didn't want anyone who reads it think I am being upset or anything. Editors in my opinion, which they do read an awful lot of material, and have to be selective. Why I have no idea unless the content is so tetriible, but That granted I really belive Editors do become jaded in a sense that they lose a true perception of characterization in voice, I mean in the characters in the manuscript. Editors are people too, and how can anyone tell me that they can feel an authors character. Mainly I believe the're looking for the blast at the opening to kep them from tossing it in the pail. And if the writing is close enoufg, it's all machanics from then on there anyway. You know, trying to get yourself established as an author is a son of a b***h. Unless you're extremely lucky, or super talented, and maybe know you are like me...good luck. And the other thing is, is that they are there 24/7 doing the grunt work, but to charge an aspiring author proofreading, and counsil package fees and calling it "having skin in the game"...come on, get real. You're all there anyway, and eveyone gets a piece of the pie in the end. Now that upsets me. Editors must be tired and burnt out writers, and am I trusting their opinion? My fellow writers. Aspiring Writers. Writers on journals, diaries, or for everyone from explorers and exhibitioners. James J. Nuzzello has us figured to a tee.
Active imagination, and our writing is a tool.
That's right...our tool to communicate everything through our own mind on paper for everyone to have a sense where we were, and are going.
It's an amazing thing once one understands.
All of the best things in life are free. No one ever told me I can figure out the secrets on my own, I just have been finding every answer through the wisdom which is buried deep inside my soul for many years that were yearning for it to come forward and be discovered.
What the hell am I going to do about it is the answer.

I LIKE MY APHORISM SO MUCH, I WANT TO DRILL IT INTO WILL.

I'll bet most people have an original catchy saying inside of them. I believe every one of us has a novel inside waiting for you to sit down and write about it also.

My honored and highly respectful writer associates. Lend me your ears. Recently Jimmy Nuzz had a heated debate over standard, and or proper usage of grammar. First of all, allow me to reiterate a rudimentary fact. What sounds right, usually is. Also without the comma. What sounds right usually is. A writer can find themselves in their struggles of trying to be too strict while writing. We all reread our words, but sometimes get confused over usage at one point or another. It's not a big deal as long as the sentences and paragraphs make standard sense. I had to mention this, because there are people out there who come off like experts on grammar, and most of them haven't written a single story in their entire life. That said... While on the subject of writing. This thought occurred to me, as it often does when feeling the writers doubt. I thank my lucky stars I met this writer in Chicago one day. It was in 1989while working for a premier printing company. At the time he was working as a QC tech. When the subject on writing came up. We got to talking a bit, he seemed otherwise a quiet person, and never paying much attention to me before. He mentioned working at the Chicago Sun, but became burned out after years as a journalist. Saying that the readers appetite never ends, which writers can write non stop 24/7 and they would sill never keep up with their ferocious appetite to read. I thought that was the right thing to hear at the right time. I needed to hear something refreshing. What seemed refreshing to me, was what seemed a career breaker to him. Like I mentioned before. I think of this statement every once in a while when I get the writers blues, and think it helps me to avoid full blown writers block temporarily. 'Be immune to rumor' Jimmy Nuzz

Writers; Can I suggest promoting yourself. Try what I do, write on a small piece of paper; go to Writers Café (your account name), and a few stories for people to check out. Just, I am an aspiring writer, introduce yourself. I am never surprised how much people appreciate reading. This is what I have been doing, and also have discussed my novel KOMEO, and am amazed at their reactions. Most people say, 'IT SOUNDS LIKE A MOVIE" it's unbelievable. I have only been asked one time how it ends. When I opened my mouth to let that person know, they immediately wanted me not to tell them. People are amazing. Well get out there and promote yourselves. Besides, most publishers need your help anyway. 'Be immune to rumor" Jimmy Nuzz

A revelation occurred to me after close analysis of my own writing skill. As I prepare myself for entering my Novel KOMEO in digital form. I realized my mind needed an overhaul. There is a peculiar habit I picked up while going through the writing process. Being creative with after thought, which comes in really handy for editing as a second draft. I myself having to rewire that thought, and resist changing the KOMEO story. I wrote myself reminders to leave it alone, put it in as is. The fact of the matter is, being a compulsive writer can be my worse enemy. There is such a thing as knowing when your writing are good enough. Knowing where to stop is crucial, and has to be taken serious. Its a rough road, but believe I caught myself in the knick time. Does anyone else know what I mean. 'Be immune to rumor' Jimmy Nuzz Well that idea didn't work out too well, and am glad I have after thought after all. The KOMEO novel needed a thorough polishing. At least that's what I tell myself. Be immune to your own rumor sometimes.
