Hello. I am not a published writer, nor am I seeking to be... at the present time... though I have always held a secret desire to be immortal like that. ;) But I enjoy writing irrelevant nonsense to please myself and I enjoy meeting other people who are brave enough to put it all out there in the open, because I believe the written word is always a window into the soul.
The first book I ever read, besides the 'Ramona' series, was The Dragonriders of Pern, McCaffrey, in the 6th grade. I struggled with understanding adult concepts and thought processes, but I got the 'gist' and was hooked. I absorbed the Lord of the Rings before they became mainstream and have been avidly reading ever since, my topics changing with my age and interests. I also started writing for myself at the same time, and have dabbled ever since. I think I have written a great many fantastic novels in my head over the years, but when I tried to copy it to pen and paper... Well, lost in transition! ;) My soul refuses to let the art of writing go... whatever the form it takes, and I am glad a 'Wicked Irish' woman directed me here.
