It should be no suprise to you that I write.

I write a lot.

I am a singer-songwriter who also writes poetry, short stories, essays, highly entertaining emails, shopping lists...I also blog at http://ikss.typepad.com

I am very involved/enthused/opinionated when it comes to politics. I am also interested in photography (all of the photos you see posted by my work here are mine), travel, hiking, kayaking and river-rafting, wine-tasting, reading, watching inane reality television until my IQ drops by 17%, hanging out with my fun family, etc.

I walk a lot and have for years. Not only will walking give you killer calves and a nice patootie, it will also save you a lot of gas money and maybe help out the environment a little bit. Plus, you gain a whole new appreciation for your surroundings when you are immersed in them rather than staring straight ahead through a windshield. And if that's not enough - you can look at strangers through their living room windows! I highly recommend you give it a shot. Walk to dinner tonight with your favorite companion. Then take a longer walk, through perhaps some undiscovered territory, this weekend.

Do it. You will be happy you did what I told you to do. This is also what I tell my boyfriend, regularly.
