About Me
I am a humble servant of the Greek gods and an avid hunter. I enjoy being out in nature and nothing solidifies the feeling of being one with nature more for me than when I hunt. The reason I became a pagan is also to deepen my connection with nature. The main god I honor is Hades, god of the dead. I do this because he is the caretaker for our loved ones who have passed and I believe he deserves to be recognized for his part in the universe. The main goddess I honor is Artemis, goddess of the hunt, though I'm not to sure how she feels about that. Artemis despises men, but when I pray to her before a hunt I feel as though she guides me to my quarry, and sharpens my senses. I always make sure to pay tribute to her after every hunt so that I stay on her good side.
The reason I named myself Hypnos instead of Hades is because I feel a strong connection to sleep and dreams, as though they have a deeper meaning than they may seem to have on the surface. Hypnos is the god of sleep, though a minor god I hope that he will be recognized for the healing sleep he provides to every living thing.
DISCLAIMER: Not all the prayers on this account are my work, but the work of other Hellenic pagans such as myself who wish to spread awareness of the gods . I am sorry for the confusion this may have caused.
