Indigenous American grand-father tells his grand-child that he has two wolves inside him that are constantly at war with each other: One is full of anger, the need for vengeance and malice; the other is benign, calm and loving. The child is deeply concerned and asks the gran-father which one will win. "The one that I feed" says the grand-father.
