I hail from "the land down-under" and my passion is writing poetry. I started a few years ago and then could not stop!..... I found it a wonderful way to get in touch with my emotions and also expressing myself in this way has been a very healing process for me.
I have made some great friends in poetry land and cherish every one of them.
I love history, classical music, and reading poetry. My favourites are the old eastern poets such as RUMI, TAGORE and Indian Poets. Kahlil Gibran is my idol and his memorable book "The Prophet" is my favourite. All these beautiful, sacred and mystical poets inspire me greatly.
Looking forward to getting to know you, reading your poems and commenting when time permits.
I hope you enjoy mine. I write from the heart (don't we all) mostly free verse, acrostic and sonnets. I tend towards fantasy writes and romance!
I am the eternal optimist, believe that love is the most important thing in the world. What else does one need.
Hi Helena,
I think that you have sorted out the problem that you were having as regard as the posting for your contest! It just seems now that in my friend's area, I have 2 same Helena ... and they both link to your writing! Why not? :)
Helene...as per your request for friendship and the poem re-post...I think there is no need for it. I did grant your friendship request, but when I tried to open your profile from the new picture of you, (which by the way went to first place), the message stated this profile has been closed by the user. Yet...when I scrolled further down to where I had found your profile pic before...it was there. Better yet, so is your profile, your contest and all the submissions. I don't know what your glitch was, but I have to assume you thought you had lost your profile. It's still there. And just in case you don't get a notice about this comment, I am sending it in a note also. I wish you good luck and God bless you for your efforts.
.........................................................................Love...Liz
Both of the vids are testimonies of their powerful and soulful poetry. Well both of them belong to a completely different era and region, I was just wondering how did u came across their work!!!!
